    Load of BS

Not to mention you'd have to pay ME to use that ruck. Which the gov't HAS.

Absolute garbage, was designed for mounted operations not dismounted movements. The hip belt is non existent and is THE critical component to carrying loads over any distance

    This.

You’re the man! I’ll even come down to pick them up if you have curbside.

From your tone I assume you have some experience with the Army and the Packs. It's good to hear the trains always run on time in BC. Our experience in BanTario may vary from Province to Province. I would not know for sure, I'm not a Troopie, Dude I sell Pants.
I can only relate the Info that I am provided by the members coming in to buy Packs be cause that's what they have been told.
As far as the suitability of the 82's for land Ops Basic training I think you may be the first member to complain about the kit issued by the Queen.
    NO one.

I mean NO ONE can force you to buy kit for duty with your own money that is not being reimbursed

I get it you want to sell packs, people will buy them for whatever reason they want. What incenses me is when kit is being grossly misrepresented

    Hello Dude, I sell Pants.
The Army Called this a Rucksack in 1982 and issued it for hauling gear all over the world. We have heard many opinions about it's efficacy as a BackPack. In the last 3 decades there have been thousands of these sold at Surplus shops all over Canada. To Civilians. Who then Take them home and strap them onto their escort vehicles for Mounted Operations!
If you have an axe to grind with the issued kit take it up with the CAF.
You keep appearing from under your bridge in this thread, go spread your sour Grapes on your own lawn.

You're being fed BS. TBH, feel free to direct any "instructor" comments my way, I'll even provide you with my DWAN email if you'd like! This sounds like some PRes non-sense, these troopies are either full of bologna or their instructors are completely f'n dense and lack the leadership to work for their guys to get proper kit...

You need to take everything recruits tell your with a MASSIVE grain of salt.

Anyway, back on subject, these rucks aren't all that bad and are a pretty cheap alternative for a decent sized ruck with a frame.

    This is getting ridickulous.

The Troopies have the option to use their Small Packs.
Troopies in the store have related that instructors offer their sage advise that the 82's are acceptable.
We have spent years advising young members Moms to not buy Knee pads, CamelBak bladders and other Gucci Kit for their kids going into BASIC.
Dude, I sell Pants, I am not a serving member of the CF The CAF the Cadet Corps or any other Federal Organized Force.
I have 30 years experience dealing with the Troops the Officers of all Stripes and Crowns.
We brought in the 82's as they are hard as #### to find with Frames ATM.
We fired them into the CGN Blender to make our bags available first to our troopies across Canada that maybe looking for the Bags as there is a shortage of Kit in the CF. (That never happened before)

I cannot say with any great conviction what the CAF does in any Province or Territory.
Only what is related to me by the Members walking in through the door and that is their personal experience, misconstrued as it maybe, and relayed here.
    Dude, I sell Pants.

Just Bumping because I was out there last weekend and the Black Fly are starting to swarm.
That's usually a good indication that it's time to start doing stuff outside.
