Have you thought about subbing out any of the machine work?

They Probably wouldn't do that since now they're stamping their name on someone else's production and quality control, with not actual direct and immediate control over it.
If I know DLASK, that's the last thing they'll do.
Most of us here would agree that we would rather wait a bit longer for a good product than have them be available quicker for cheaper (quality).

You've heard the saying, Good Quality, Fast, Low Priced, you want two, you'll have to compromise for the third.

Yea, but as someone who actively works in a machine shop and managing overflow it's not that difficult. You make the other place match your dimensions, or they don't get paid. It's not that complicated, both in theory and practice. 0.002" in my shop is still 0.002" in another shop at the same temperature.

In BC there are an awful lot of "Clozeenuff" machine shops, far too many in fact. Close enough for logging and trucking, nowhere near precise enough for shooting. No one wants to wait weeks or months just to hear "well it's inside a thirty-two".

That has zero to do with it. For those of you that have never made multi component precision instruments please hold the comments. The armchair 'Why don't you just do..." is getting old. There is a reason these are not made by many manufacturers and even less of those are GOOD.

When we have the spare manpower free to get on these in earnest we will. Until then we sell the next best thing, the Kidd single stage packs.

I spent the first 20+ years of my life as a federally certified inspector working in a machine shop that overhauls gas turbines for helicopters. I am well aware of what precision machining is friends. We didn't work in .002" of an inch we often worked in .0002". No small feat on manual machines.

As I said, we have most of these done but the final fitting is very time consuming and we just don't have the skilled manpower to tackle it at the moment, sorry.

Sorry, but this is coming from someone who makes parts all day long on 3,4, and 5 axis machines. Live tooling lathes. Down to 0.0002" and often aerospace parts with 0.001" positional. I'm sure a receiver or trigger pack is not made to these for anything outside of roll pin holes. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I know after this interaction you'll probably never want to do business with us as a sub, so let's leave it there I guess.

Well then sounds like you have it sorted out mate. We'll cancel the project and not waste our time.
