Dumb question, do we need extended base plates? or can you still seat and rip a factory mag?

Not a stupid question at all. Because of the way factory floor plates on the G48 sticks out in the front at the base we couldn't make the bevel shallow enough to accommodate, it would have made the front of the magwell way too thin. That's why we made a combo deal with our AL2 Base Pads as well, to help save customers a few dollars ($15 to be exact) when going with our magwell.
