You're right. A quick search shows that Citadel apparently dropped the .454 project, as per a poster on Calguns who spoke with them over the phone.

I would agree that overall quality in general is better with Marlin. However, if you buy "tacticool" pistol caliber lever, then it would make more sense to have a polymer stock (Citadel/Rossi) and not a wood stock (Marlin). It also would be nice to have mlock HG and that is the case with Rossi, but not the case with Marlin. .
I have a feeling you haven't checked out the new 2024 marlin dark. It comes with a polymer stock and mlok hand guard , and threaded barrel.

as for the US/CAD exchange statement, you aren't understanding what im pointing out. The levtac 92 .410 is 999 CAD , the 45 colt is 1150 (cad) .. on the citadel store they all sell for 699$ USD. so I would just like to know the justification of the extra 150$ extra cost for the 45 colt. Fair question, no ?

You're right, somehow I missed it. Thank you for pointing this out. Looked at the 45-70 version and I like it very much. There are many good things Ruger introduced into the rifle. Hex screws, for example, is godsent for modern lever. The only thing is that that 44 version (I'm after 44, I don't need 45-70) is not out yet and only promised next year. Hopefully it will make it to Canada before ######s in power introduce new round of bans.
