I would rather save for an infiray than spend 850 on a flir scout. GOOD thermal is expensive.

    How much is great thermal?

Looks like Flir Canada has the Scout TX on sale for $600 right now.... probably about to bring out a new model. Tech just keeps getting better and cheaper for the most part.

Does anyone know how long the Scout TX model has been out for?

That's tech. It'll get cheaper as new stuff comes out. Check out infiray options in Canada and YouTube videos comparing them (rh25) to the flir scout and you'll see what I mean. Huge difference.

I found the MH25, looks like they run about $4000 for the V2 plus tax..... hard to beleive it out performs the $600 Scout TX, but I will take your word on that....

edit, found the RH25, closer to $5500.00, I can only imagine how sweet that unit it is!

I bet if a guy went back 10-15 years with the Scout TX it would blow minds, likely something along the lines of the MH25 only better, will be available for transplant into the body 10-15 years from now!

I bought one of these years ago:

I've actually been pretty happy with it. It'll clearly show me the raccoons running around my back yard, or other people in the house. It's also ben useful for pinpointing cool spots around doors and windows. If you want I'll bring it down when I come pick up my stuff from you guys sometime soon and you can check it out.
