    Could you try and bring in some ceramic plates from the US? or is there some loophole where AR500 doesn't get hit by ITAR but ceramic does?

    We have some Ceramic coming in a few weeks. They will be close to $300/piece though. Lighter than level 4 AR500, cannot take as many hits, but twice the price.

    If you can find some real silk, not synthetic stuff. You can wrap several layers around the AR500 steel for spalling if you are suspect of the spray on truck bed liner. The bed liner does work but personally if I go with AR500, I will be wrapping the plates in silk before putting them in my carrier.
