Ellwood Epps Jacked Up Prices on Hi Point pistols

I wanted to buy a brand new Hi Point JHP at $279.

Elwood Epps have jacked the price to $399.

    People are buying at $399.

Other retailers are having specials, while these guy are price gouging.

Good to know for all my future firearms related purchases.

All the pistol prices I've seen for used ones are unreasonably high, and I don't know why'

Buyer pays shipping and insurance on any EE sale unless explicitly stated otherwise in the ad or agreed upon as part of the deal.

All posts made by me are my opinion, and you must do your own research

Nothing wrong with that, You can't replace those after. If I would be a seller it would be for a good price or might as well keep it and enjoy for the rest of my life.

I have zero connection to Epps but I am going to guess at the end of the day, even if they raise all their prices, that their business will take a huge hit with leftover guns that cannot be sold (more unpopular models), and expensive guns they cannot get their money out of. More importantly, lost business in the future from no more handgun, and banned long gun sales. This may be a desperate act on their part to try to get money out of their popular stock while they can in order to try to insure a future for the business.

In other words, you might not have to boycott them in the future if they go out of business because of the big hits they have taken in the last year or two. Hey, I love the Old Spaghetti Factory in Toronto and their prices are way up from a few years ago. Their motivation is not gouging or greed, just desperation to try to save the business. I am happy to pay a few extra dollars if it means they will still be here in a few years. We all know what happens when competition goes away and as someone said in another post, the shooting landscape in this country (like gun ranges) will take a massive hit.
Just my thoughts, but I do get how raising prices is disconcerting....

As pistol shooters we all should have owned everything we wanted already, instead of looking like fools paying loan shark prices from gun stores praying on us

They just added a couple pages of the Hi Point JCP pistol (.40 S&W) @ $399. I will be amazed if they sell them all at that price.

I have what I need, but was willing to blow $279+tax and shipping on an American made .45ACP cheap pistol. A novelty impulse buy at best. Not the end of the world.

But it amazes me people are paying $399 for a Hi Point.

Sucks that prices have gone up, but at the end of the day that’s their right. Just shop around.

Foc had them for $350 like 2 years ago. Never seen the pricing from before. But not out of this world. Not likely getting bought unless someone that desperate.
